Al Madrasathul Islamiya

Al Madrasathul Islamiya

Established in 1952 as a precursor of Islahiya college, it was the first center of learning dedicated to the establishment of exclusively Islamic teachings and set the groundwork for a revolutionary Islamic system of education. Traditional Islamic education, which had traditionally been limited to Arabic-Malayalam recitation and regional traditions that went beyond Islamic ideals and legends, was transformed by Al Madrasathul Islamiya. As a result, for the first time, a broad approach to Islamic teachings was introduced, including semantic interpretation, historical context, and in-depth Arabic language and grammar learning, as opposed to the use of Arabic Malayalam, which limited understanding of the verses and their linguistic roots. The study also includes memorization of Quranic laws and meanings. Al Madrasathul Islamiya centers can be found throughout the Chennamangallur region.
